Who We Are
Countryside youth foundation (CSYF) is a community based organisation
registered with the gender and community based services department of
kayunga district 43 miles east of kampala the capital city of Uganda. It
was founded and began operations in 2009 and registered in 2010 with registration no: 233/2010.
This organisation was established by a group of concerned citizens
having identified that there were growing numbers of youth within the
society who were not empowered and that this had affected their
standards of living and behaviour. Given this background there was need
for joint effort to address this situation, it is this joint effort that
Countryside youth foundation stands for in order to improve the
prevailing situation.
VISION
Seeing empowered youth living a better life.
MISSION
Creating opportunities for youth empowerment and promotion of sustainable development within the community.
OBJECTIVES
1.To promote a comprehensive mechanism for the reduction of poverty and unemployment among the youth.
2.
To establish and maintain an information resource centre to curb
ignorance among the youth and empower them with information and
communications technology skills.
3. To promote the involvement of the youth in the conservation and protection of the environment surrounding them.
4.To create awareness and promote youth rights, freedoms, responsibilities, policies and programmes concerning the youth.
5.
To under take fact finding, resarch, monitoring and evaluation on
various programmes especailly sexual and reproductive health among
others.
6. To promote partnerships among organisations having similar interests as of countryside youth foundation.
7.Establish
and carry on all kinds of social services and or operations commonly
undertaken by society that would bring about development.
8.Inculcate
the spirit of living in harmony with one another, peaceful settlement
of dispute, non violence and co-existence into the community.
